NEW HAVEN

Institute Library Storytelling Group

The Institute Library story sharing group shares stories at any stage of development, from first stabs at this-might-be-a-story to polished pieces. Those who choose get feedback from the group. We also welcome those who wish to simply listen. We are open to all. We welcome stories of all genres, though most of what we hear are personal experience stories.

Each fall we hold a workshop series ending in a public Tellabration!, at which participants tell the stories they have prepared in the workshops. We also help find opportunities for our tellers at other venues, a couple of which our members have created themselves.

We normally meet in person at the Institute Library, 847 Chapel Street in downtown New Haven, on the second Thursday of the month from 7-9 P.M. We meet on Zoom on the third Thursday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November). For up to date information contact the group coordinator, Arnie Pritchard. 203-624-2520, apritchard01@snet.net.
